******************************************************************************** FAFSA NIGHT. Denfeld High School Guidance Department will be hosting a FAFSA Night on October 26, 2017.  Financial Aid representatives from the local colleges will be available to assist students and their parents in completing the FAFSA. If possible, please bring your tax returns for the 2016 fiscal year. Students who are planning on attending a post-secondary college or university must complete the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) in order to receive any type of financial assistance. Every year, the federal government awards millions of dollars in grants, work-study, and loans to students who qualify.  Students may begin filling out the FAFSA forms using their 2016 tax returns and then can update their financial information after their 2017 tax returns are complete. In order to be considered, all students who are planning on attending a post-secondary program are encouraged to complete the FAFSA after January 1, 2018. You'll need to have filed your 2017 Federal Income taxes to complete the form.
