Duluth School Board Honors Jordan McMillian,
Youth of the Year
During their regular March meeting, the Duluth School Board took time to recognize Jordan McMillian from Denfeld High School. Early this year, Jordan was named 2014 Youth of the Year by the Boys & Girls Club of the Northland.
Denfeld Nation Automation (DNA) Team 4009 competed at the FIRST Lake Superior Regional Robotics competition in February and received the FIRST Innovation in Control Award sponsored by Rockwell Automation. The team ended as 6th seed alliance captain, and chose Syntax Error Team 4693 (Rockford, MN) and Cobalt Catalysts Team 3042 to compete with during the playoffs. Their next competition will be at the Central Illinois Regional, March 19-21 in Peoria, Illinois. More information can be found on their webpage,.
